Hanfu for boys

On July 28th, Dress Han: Night of Hanfu Fashion marked another historic moment for Lan Su, a sold-out summer sensation! Over 250 guests witnessed the bridges and pavilions of Lan Su come alive with the beauty of hanfu inspirations. 500 years ago, Chinese scholars cherished their residential gardens as havens for art, music, and self-expression. When the Culture & Community Team at Lan Su first started to develop Dress Han over a year ago, we knew that Chinese hanfu would be our cultural subject and inspiration for the program series. Producing a hanfu fashion show at the garden felt like a wild dream, but thankfully, we didn’t stop dreaming. Now, Lan Su honors that legacy by opening the garden gate and sharing its beauty with our cherished community. Our heartfelt thanks to headliners Kerry Yu and Yuan-Chen Li, as well as our talented designers, artists, musicians, and models for an unforgettable experience. Special thanks to our event partners, Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland, Quail Hurst Vineyard Estate, and H.K. Cafe, for their valuable contributions. Dress Han was made possible through generous support from the Oregon Cultural Trust. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey. Let’s continue to dream and create together!
